MAO’S GREAT FAMINE BY FRANK DIKOTTER

Mao's Great Famine by Frank DikotterThere were loads of tyrants and dictators in world history. ost of them annihilated thousands and millions of people. Some of them were more merciless thank others. Among all the tyrants, Mao Dzedung has killed the biggest number of people. The Chinese dictator totaled 80 million killed. Some of them were directly executed. and others died due to the great famine caused by Mao's political reforms. 'Mao's Great Famine: The History of China'ss Most Devastating Catastrophe, 1958-62' by Frank Dikotter is a very informative book that will tell you a lot about this topic.

Mao Dzedung was one of the worst leaders who have ever ruled a country. An absolute dictator and tyrant. He will be remembered in history as a maa murderer. 'Mao's Great Famine: The History of China's Most Devastating Catastrophe, 1958-62' by     Frank Dikotter tells about The Great Leap Forward program. Mao Dzedung dreamt to skyrocket China's economy by the collectivization reform. In 15, he planned to outrun the economy of Great Britain. The Great Leap Forward was a theoretical experiment. Instead of economical prosperity and advancement, this program caused the deaths of millions of poor workers, women, and children. Frank Dikotter describes the program and its causes in big detail.

I was never attracted to communism. I am sure that communism was created by the devil himself to torture and annihilate human beings. A political system that refutes the existence of God is pure evil. What is more, I am also assured that all communistic leaders brought only the worst things to their nations. Stalin, Lenin, Pol Pot, Mao, and others killed millions. Other communistic leaders such as Fidel Castro made their countries poor and degraded.

I like reading this book. Even though I already knew that Mao was pure evil, this wonderful book told me a lot about The Great Leap Forward and its disastrous consequences. Millions of Chinse citizens were starved to death, beaten, and executed. This book is very rich in detail.

I highly recommend this book to everyone interested in history, politics, political theories, communism, economy, and specifically the history of modern China. Honestly, this book can make you tired due to the massive amount of data and information given in this work. However, if you are a very patient and meticulous history lover, you will surely enjoy reading this book.
